Jeongnamjin Observatory Picturesque sky and open ocean directly south from Gwanghwamun
Jeongdongjin is located directly east of Gwanghwamun, Seoul on the latitude and Jeongnamjin Jangheung directly south of Gwanghwamun on the longitude. Looking down from the observatory, there are islands in the offshore. And this is a famous site for watching Deuknyangman Bay, Goheung Sorokdo Island, Geogeumdaegyo Bridge, Wando Island and Geumildo Island at a glance. Emerald green southern sea, picturesque sky and magnificent Cheongwansan Mountain in a distance! What a picturesque scenery!

Jeongnamjin Observatory with full of attention on each floor
In front of the observatory are cute sculptures for 12 Chinese zodiac signs. When you climb up the observatory stairs, the floor fountain in the shape of a map will greet you with cool streams of water. Past the fountain in the unification plaza, you will find the statue of Ahn Jung-geun toward the sea. The height of the observatory tower is as high as 45.9m. The upper floor configurates the sun, the middle floor the royal robe mast and the bottom floor the sea waves. The building rises from B1 to 10F. On the 9th and 10th floors, there are observatory and a cafe. Each floor is fully entertaining with a book cafe (8F), literary movie theater (7F), memorable travel hall (6F), festival hall (5F), story hall (4F), food promotion hall (3F), trick art photo zone (2F) and traveller information center & souvenir shop (1F) for various experiences and relaxation.

Night view and sunrise site with splendid magical lights at observatory
You cannot miss the romantic night view and the sunrise at Jeongnamjin Observatory.
It is romantic enough to watch the darkened coastal waters and colorful lights at night. Also, Jeongnamjin is an emerging sunrise site. The sun rising between islands presents a different impression from the sun rising on the sea.
