Specialty of winter, delicious taste from the sea. When winter arrives Jangheung, many people visit the region to taste the fresh oysters caught in the clean waters. Grilled Jangheung oysters are topped with the grilled flavor to add aroma.
The most famous seafood during the cold wind season would be oysters. Natural oysters from Deuknyangman Bay boasts fresh scent of the sea and lures the appetite of gourmets in the winter season. Nampo Village in Yongsan-myeon, Jangheung-gun is also famous for sunrise destination. This village has been greatly favored by tourists as they can grill natural oysters caught directly by the villagers at the coast of Sodeungseom Island.
